Based on a Tennessee Williams novel, the 1961 film "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" is all about an older woman (Vivien Leigh) paying for the services of a younger gentleman (Warren Beatty) while abroad in Rome.
A male sex worker I interviewed told me this happens much more in European countries -- that older women hire younger men as escorts. “Many older women I know personally travel to Turkey to buy sex from young men. In these cases, a pseudo form of affair takes place but both parties know that money/goods are exchanging hands in return for sex.
